More pros than cons, but still.
The cozy, historic ambiance instantly transports you back in time, complemented by a lovely modern bathroom and convenient treats in the common area.
The check-in process felt disorganized, and arriving at a guesthouse down the road was slightly inconvenient.

Location so close to Temple Bar, a quiet area and the capital. Exceptionally comfortable bed in the superior queen room, plus a couch, tea making facilities, and coffee.

The hotel has a perfect and exceptionally nice location, close to pubs and restaurants. There's a great selection of restaurants to choose from, like Pods Pizza, set within 10 minutes walk or so, liked this place😀

Conveniently located near various breakfast spots.
The check-in process was frustrating and disorganized. When I asked for help with my baggage, the receptionist seemed upset and unhelpful. There was an issue with the door to the hotel which left us awake at night due to banging sounds.

The Historical has a unique charm with its beautiful antique decor. I particularly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The complimentary whiskey offered in the common area was a good surprise! Breakfast options were plentiful, with coffee, tea, juices, and even cookies available throughout the day. While I loved the location for its proximity to the city, there were some notable drawbacks. The check-in process felt disorganized. The main light in my bedroom didn't work, and it seemed like basic maintenance was lacking. The shower gel was empty, and there could have been better attention to cleaning in common areas, as I noticed some food left uncovered for a while. The historical ambiance was a great aspect, but certain details needed more care.

The historical was a great find! It had clean rooms and was right in the heart of the city. I loved the little pastries and coffee available in the common room. As a history fan, staying in an old building was a real treat.

I had an incredible time during my stay. The cozy atmosphere and lovely antique decor made it feel like home, though I was a bit surprised that my room was smaller than it looked in the photos. The complementary Irish whiskey was an unexpected delight! I would absolutely come back.

Both rooms we booked were wonderful, featuring a charming old Regency terrace, a fridge, and a comfy bed. The location was nice, situated in a residential area that kept things pretty quiet. 😊.
